MY YEAR-END HOLIDAY'S JOURNEY

My  Year-end Holiday’s Journey

Last December, when the year-end holiday came, I choose to spend my holiday in my mother’s hometown, in Riau Archipelago.  To start this beautiful journey, I depart from Bandung to Batam by airplane on December, 20th 2016. I was very very happy….
The airplane took off from Husein Sastranegara airport at 11.20 AM, and landed at Hang Nadim International Airport, Batam, at 01.00 PM. While I was on the sky, I saw very beautiful and great panorama whole the flight. Then I took some pictures from the window with my smartphone (for your information, I used airplane mode so it didn’t influence the airplane’s signal). When arrived at Batam, then my mother, my sister, and I went to the baggage claim area to picked up our baggage.
After picking up our baggage, we met with my cousins and she brought us to my aunt’s house. In the afternoon, we went to Barelang Bridge because it’s been a long time since my last visited to Barelang Bridge. Masya Allah… I was so amazed with the view there. It’s very beautiful! So, I took some pictures there because I don’t wanna waste this opportunity. At 6.00 PM, we watched the setting of the sun and I also took some pictures for my instagram’s picture, then we went home. In the evening we visited a seaside cafĂ© and we had dinner together there. The view on that night was very beautiful and made me forgot about everything that makes me feel so tired (read : school, hahaha).
On the next day, I woke up early (although it’s holiday) because my family and I would attended my cousin’s marriage at Dabo Singkep, Lingga Islands. W        e left home at 08.30 AM to the harbor. At 10.00 AM, we went to Dabo Singkep from Batam by a passenger ship. It took 4 hours and 30 minutes to arrived at Dabo Singkep. Unfortunately, the bad weather came on the half of the journey. But Alhamdulillah, we arrived at Dabo Singkep safely at 02.30 PM, then my uncle brought us to his home to meet with the bride. To be continue...

FAUNA : THE POISONOUS BLACK WIDOW SPIDER

Short Description about Black Widow Spider

Black widow spiders are easily recognizable. They’re plump, black, and shiny, with an hourglass-shaped, red mark on their abdomens. Sometimes, this red mark may take a slightly different shape. In other cases, the spider may have red markings on its back too.
This type of spider gets its name from its mating behavior. After mating, the females typically kill and then eat their male partners, leaving them as “widows.”
These spiders aren’t aggressive and only bite when they feel threatened. The bites usually aren’t fatal, but they can still cause some serious and uncomfortable symptoms.
If a black widow spider has bitten you, get medical treatment right away.
This spider type is found
throughout the world. While they are found all over the United States, they’re most common in the Southern and Western states.
Venom
This spider's bite is much feared because its venom is reported to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake's. In humans, bites produce muscle aches, nausea, and a paralysis of the diaphragm that can make breathing difficult; however, contrary to popular belief, most people who are bitten suffer no serious damage—let alone death. But bites can be fatal—usually to small children, the elderly, or the infirm. Fortunately, fatalities are fairly rare; the spiders are nonaggressive and bite only in self-defense, such as when someone accidentally sits on them.
The animals most at risk from the black widow's bite are insects—and male black widow spiders. Females sometimes kill and eat their counterparts after mating in a macabre behavior that gave the insect its name. Black widows are solitary year-round except during this violent mating ritual.
Webs and Feeding
These spiders spin large webs in which females suspend a cocoon with hundreds of eggs. Spiderlings disperse soon after they leave their eggs, but the web remains. Black widow spiders also use their webs to ensnare their prey, which consists of flies, mosquitoes, grasshoppers, beetles, and caterpillars. Black widows are comb-footed spiders, which means they have bristles on their hind legs that they use to cover their prey with silk once it has been trapped.
To feed, black widows puncture their insect prey with their fangs and administer digestive enzymes to the corpses. By using these enzymes, and their gnashing fangs, the spiders liquefy their prey's bodies and suck up the resulting fluid.

It's 2016 now, but the memories are still warm in my mind. It's been 1 year and 9 months ago since those days made unforgettable memories for me. It was on January, 2015. What was that???? Yeah, that was my spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia, exactly to Makkah and Madinah to go Umrah. That was a very awesome and great journey that I've been through. I was too excited when my parents persuaded me to follow them! :D

We stay there for 10 days and 2 other days on the way. Now, I'm gonna tell you about what I do since the first day till the last day.

On Monday, 12th of January, we left for Singapore by a passenger ship. Why Singapore? Because we'll depart to Jeddah from Changi Airport, Singapore. We left my aunt's house at 7.30 AM.

Before we went for the long and unforgettable journey, hehe.
